Robbie Robertson is a Canadian singer/songwriter with a net worth of $10 million. Robertson's net worth grew as the heartbeat of the 60s rock act, The Band. Robertson performed in several groups, before becoming the lead guitarist and main lyricist for the Band. As a guitarist, Robertson received praised from music critics: he is ranked 59th on Rolling Stone's list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time. Bob Dylan described him as 'the only mathematical genius I've ever run into that offends intestinal nervousness with his rearguard sound.' Robertson received equal praise as a songwriter. He penned a string of classic including 'The Weight', Up On Cripple Creek and Broken Arrow. After The Band dissolves in the late 1970s, Robertson embarked on a solo career and went on to produce Neil Diamond's albums, Beautiful Noise (1976) and Love at the Creek (1977). He starred in Cary, where he also co-wrote and composed the music for the 1980 film. He later produced music for Kings of Comedy (1983) and Shutter Island (2010). To date, Robertson produced five solo albums, where his song, Somewhere Down the Crazy, (from his first album) became his biggest hit. In 2008, Robertson, along with The Band, received the Grammys Lifetime Achievement Awards for their outstanding contribution to the music industry.
