Christopher Scott Kyle was born in Odessa, Texas in April 1974 and passed away in February 2013. He is the most lethal sniper in the history of the U.S. military. Kyle claimed to have had 255 kills, but only 160 of those have been confirmed. He served for four tours in the Iraq War. Kyle was awarded the 4th highest commendation for his acts of heroism and merit. He received five Bronze Star Medals with valor, two Silver Star Medals, a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. Christopher Kyle was shot and killed along with Chad Littlefield on February 2, 2013 at a shooting range in Texas. He was 38 years old and will be commemorated by the upcoming film American Sniper.
