He is the Chairman of The Jim Henson Company and is the son of puppeteers Jim and Jane Henson. During the 1980′s he performed as a puppeteer for Jack Pumpkinhead in Return to Oz, and was the principal performer for the puppet Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors. He also worked as Hoggle, one of the main characters in his father's film, Labyrinth and the Dog in both versions of The Storyteller. Henson also operated special effects for the film, Santa Claus: The Movie, helping him develop a name for himself outside his father's help. In the 90′s he took over the Muppet roles of Scooter and Janice after the death of Richard Hunt and also directed The Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, which was the first of the Muppet films produced after the death of Jim Henson.
