David Hasselhoff has had some extreme ups and downs. After achieving worldwide fame starring in the hit television show, “Knight Rider”, he began starring in the wildly successful series, “Baywatch”. The show is still running, somewhere in the world, almost 15 years after it went off the air after ten seasons. It was cancelled during its first season network run, but Mr. Hasselhoff believed in it, and in 1991, it began airing in syndication, primarily due to his personal financial backing. It proved to be a savvy move, and the success of both of his television shows, ultimately made him very wealthy. Unfortunately, his later career has been far less stellar. He launched a moderately successful music career that took off in Germany, but nowhere else. He has appeared in multiple musicals, including the Broadway run of “Jekyll & Hyde” and the London production of “Chicago”, and most recently, he has served as a judge on the talent competition shows, “America’s Got Talent” and “Britain’s Got Talent”. He also starred in a truly awful home video made by his daughter, which featured him, completely blitzed, attempting to eat a hamburger off the floor. The video went viral and definitely altered his public image. Recently, he put his massive home in Encino on sale, which is probably a clear indication that his life is not as successful as it used to be.
David Hasselhoff’s house is 8,947 square feet and sits on an acre and a half of land. The main house has four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and sleeping quarters for a live-in maid. David Hasselhoff’s house also has two guesthouses, each with their own bedroom, bath, and kitchen. The main house features a living room that is spread out over two stories, a library, a pub room, a media room, and a state-of-the-art kitchen. Outside David Hasselhoff’s house, there is a pool, a spa, a waterfall, a tennis court, and a pavilion. The house is on the market for $3.795 million, which seems a rather small price to pay for a moderately palatial place in Encino. Here’s hoping someone snaps it up, and helps “The Hoff” out.
