Nick Diamond, a.k.a. Nicholas Tershay, has done the enviable of thing of turning his passion into a successful business.  After launching a skateboarding hardware supply line out of his San Francisco apartment in the late 90s, he relocated to Los Angeles to build his brand.  He began to make a name for himself under the umbrella of Girl Skateboards distribution, and expanded his line of goods over the course of the next five years.  His business, The Diamond Supply Co., was on its way.  In 2005, he got his first major retail boost, a request from Nike Skateboarding to design a signature sneaker.  The shoe, called the Diamond Nike SB Dunk, was one of the most critically-acclaimed sneakers to come out of the Nike line ever.  He was subsequently able to open his own store in Los Angeles, and there are plans to open two more shops this year.  His clothing, shoes, and hardware, have become immensely popular with skateboarders, celebrities, and other designers.  2012 saw him entering into collaborative business arrangements with Karmaloop, UNKNWN, Kanye West, and Curren$y, not to mention fantastic reviews in magazines like Complex.  Recently, he made it clear that his design prowess isn't just limited to apparel and hardware, when he unveiled his pet project, a completely restored 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS.

The Chevy Chevelle SS went into production in the early 60s.  The SS was Chevy's answer to the muscle car, and the 1970 Chevelle SS was part of the second generation of the vehicle.  It underwent extensive redesigns from the original SS, including receiving a more squared out body, and a completely redesigned interior.  It ran on a 6.6 L Big-Block V8 engine that produced approximately 450 hp.  Nick Diamond's car is completely new, but he maintained the original engine and tires.  With a turquoise and white paint job, and an all white interior, the car is truly gorgeous.  It reportedly took him two years to complete the project.  It was well worth the wait.
